Wayfinders ARABIA

NEOM DESeRT (SAUDI ARABIA) & SINAI TRAIL (EGYPT)

march 1-9, 2026

What Makes This Experience Different

You’ll Live the Questions, Not Just Hear the Answers

This isn’t about frameworks or fixing you. It’s about stripping back everything that isn’t you, until what remains is true, clear, and ready.

You’ll Be Held by the Land and Its People

The NEOM desert is a vast place of silence, stillness and beauty. It’s the perfect place to hear your soul’s whisper.

The Sinai is sacred to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam for a reason. It reveals. It humbles. It awakens. Bedouin guides will lead us in the old ways.

No distractions, no performance, just presence and peace.

You’ll Step Out of Time

Nine days mostly off-grid. No phones. No email. Just you and your fellow pilgrims: entrepreneurs walking the path toward deeper alignment and greater fulfilment.

For centuries, pilgrims, prophets, and wanderers have walked these paths. We’ll now follow in their footsteps.

CHALLENGE RATING: 3/5
OFF-the-map factor: 4/5

On this Adventure, we’ll be camping in the vast, empty desert of NEOM in Saudi Arabia and on a quiet and remote section of the Sinai trail in Egypt.

We’ll sleep in tents and drink Bedouin tea under the stars, with one night between NEOM and Sinai at a beautiful eco-resort on the Red Sea that we’ll have all to ourselves.

We’ll do a bit of easy hiking and slot canyon exploring in NEOM. While on the Sinai trail, expect hikes of 12-18 km/day (8 to 11 miles), with camels available most of the time if you get tired.

  • How physically demanding is this Adventure?
All Wayfinders Adventures are active, often more so than the average tour. Even our “lighter” experiences may include moderately long hikes or sustained activity. This scale will help you choose an experience that meets your current capacity - and stretches you just the right amount.

    • 1 – Active, but accessible
Expect up to 10–15 km of hiking per day on varied terrain. Suitable for anyone with basic fitness who enjoys long days outdoors.

    • 2 – Moderate challenge
Daily activity might include 15–20 km of hiking, moderate elevation gain, or sometimes sustained activity (6–8 hours). You’ll feel it, but it’s doable with preparation.

    • 3 – Strong challenge
More demanding terrain, higher elevations, or consecutive days of significant exertion. Good fitness and preparation are important.

    • 4 – Very demanding
Intense daily exertion, high altitude, or rugged conditions. Requires very good fitness and mental stamina.

    • 5 – Extreme challenge
Expedition-level demands, such as climbing a 20,000-foot volcano or multi-day treks at altitude. For fit, well-prepared adventurers only.

  • How familiar or unfamiliar will this experience feel?
Some Adventures take place in settings that feel comfortable and familiar, even luxurious. Others bring you into deeply rustic, remote, or culturally different environments (sometimes there’s a mix of both). Each has its magic - this scale helps you understand what kind of "edge" you’ll be walking.

    Level Descriptions:

    • 1 – Familiar & comfortable
Settings feel close to home for Western travelers. Think boutique lodges, reliable amenities, and creature comforts intact.

    • 2 – A touch of the wild
Still largely comfortable, but with occasional rustic or unusual moments: a remote lodge, an outdoor meal, or cultural immersion.

    • 3 – Rugged, but balanced
A mix of comfort and wilderness: perhaps tented camps, homestays, or limited amenities, combined with some familiar touchpoints.

    • 4 – Remote & rustic
Mostly unfamiliar environments: multi-day camping, minimal connectivity, unpredictable logistics. Comfort takes a back seat to immersion.

    • 5 – Deep wilderness / cultural edge
One of the most remote or unfamiliar experiences you’ll ever have: full immersion in wilderness or traditional ways of life, with little to no infrastructure, often rustic and raw. True adventure.

A journey of surprises

One of the things that makes our Adventures is unique is that we don’t reveal the details of your itinerary.

We’ll give you a high-level overview, lots of information to help you prepare, and a detailed packing list, but each day’s activities and adventures are a surprise (once you join, you’ll find out why we do this).

What you’ll experience

  • The vast, quiet and sacred emptiness of NEOM desert

  • Tea with our Bedouin hosts around nightly campfires, under skies exploding with stars

    • Large support staff

  • A moderate level of fitness is required. Camels are available if needed, but there will be sections that camels cannot pass which you will have to traverse on foot.

You should be able to hike for 12-15 km/day (7 to 9 miles/day) at a moderate pace.

  • Our first meetup will be dinner in Sharm-El-Sheikh at 6:00 pm on Feb. 27, 2026 (the Adventure starts the next morning). The event officially gets under way the next morning.

We suggest spending a couple of days in Cairo before the event (we are hosting a special Cairo day for all Plus-level members) and then flying to Sharm-El-Sheikh on Feb. 27.

After the Adventure, we will be ending in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt at approximately 3 pm on Mar. 8, 2026.

We are working on a Red Sea cruise option to extend the experience, which will start that afternoon. Alternatively, you can fly home from Sharm-el-Sheikh as early as 5 pm on Mar. 8 (there are multiple daily flights to Europe).

  • Basic level includes shared rooming (2/room) at our resort on the Red Sea, and shared tents during the adventure (2/tent).

Plus and Premium level include single rooming at our hotel and single tents during the adventure.

  • You will be provided with a detailed packing list 8 weeks prior to the event, and a final weather-dependent list just prior to the event (expect warm, sunny days with highs in the low 20s Celsius, and cool nights with lows in the 12 to 14 range. The weather is perfect at this time of year!

  • Once you’re booked, you’re booked, and no refunds are available (we want people who are fully committed to the event and the community, and aren’t going to let ‘busyness’ get in the way of a life-transforming experience). Things happen, of course, so for that reason, we strongly recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance.

Although we cannot offer a refund, if we can find someone to take your spot then you can get a full credit toward a future adventure.

  • Being offline and fully present with each other is one of the highlights of the experience.

There will be connectivity on Feb. 27/28, and again on March 06-08. In between we will be offgrid, although we will have a satellite phone in case of emergency.

  • That’s a valid concern! We will be in a remote area, far from ‘civilization’ for most of our time in Egypt

Rest assured that we have safety and emergency protocols in place for all scenarios.

The facilitators are both trained in Wilderness First Aid, as are many of the guide team, and extensive emergency evacuation protocols are in place.
